First Time Homebuyer Tax Credits

President Obama has signed an extension of the first time homebuyers tax credit.
This credit can provide $8,000 for first time homebuyers. The rules on income and other prerequisites have changed as well. This program extension applies to purchases of homes before April 30th, 2010.

$7500 Individual Hazard Mitigation Grant

This grant is available to Road Home grant recipients only and offers reimbursement for storm shutters, roof tie-downs, the cost of lifting heating and cooling units and other mitigation measures. The grant program is currently under development, but you can call 866-993-0138 and leave a voice mail expressing interest. You must have your Road Home application number ready.
