The New Orleans Video Access Center's Digital Filmmaking Institute offers a variety of inexpensive media-making workshops and services for adults and teens.

Operation Reconstruct: Free Construction Training

Operation Reconstruct is designed to provide construction skills training to out-of-school youth.
Classes have already begun with graduates receiving a nationally recognized credential and assistance with job placement.
Participants between the ages 18 – 21 will receive classroom and hands-on training in employability and life skills, work safety and proper tool use, basic residential carpentry, electrical wiring, plumbing, maintenance, construction math, and work place communication skills. Upon completion, graduates will receive a "nationally- recognized" Pre-Apprenticeship Certificate Training (PACT) certificate and job placement assistance. Louisiana Job Corps Centers

Job Corps is a no-cost education and vocational training program that helps young people ages 16 through 24 get a better job, make more money, and take control of their lives.
Students enroll to learn a trade, earn a high school diploma or GED and get help finding a good job. Students are also paid a monthly allowance. Job Corps provides career counseling and transition support to its students for up to 12 months after graduating from the program.
