The New Orleans Index

This monthly report, formerly known as the Katrina Index, tracks the recovery process in Orleans Parish.
The report includes information on population, housing, economic indicators, schools, and more. The report is put together by the Greater New Orleans Community Data Center with the support of the Brookings Institution and can be found updated monthly on the GNOCDC website.

New Orleans Repopulation Information

The GNO Community Data Center website features a tool that shows city block-by-block counts of households actively receiving mail, along with counts of homeowners who have closed on their Road Home applications and whether they chose to stay and rebuild or accept a buyout.
The new online mapping system is simple to use, allowing users to zoom in and see info about specific neighborhoods they are most interested in. The data on households receiving mail will be updated every three months, and the Road Home data will be updated monthly.

NORA Blighted Property Search

This New Orleans Redevelopment Authority online mapping service allows residents to search for images and data on blighted New Orleans properties.
The online map provides constantly updated information on blighted properties in all stages of adjudication, expropriation or sale by The Road Home program, the city and NORA, a state-chartered neighborhood revitalization agency. Users can search by address, neighborhood or by a property’s legal status.
